12v installation - 24v Installation

Battery bank configurations
Megapulse can condition a single battery or a bank of batteries. Battery banks can be wired in series (higher voltage) in parallel (higher current capacity) or in series/parallel ( higher voltage and current capacity). FAB must be installed directly on the battery or the bank of batteries.
Batteries in parallel connection:
The capacity in Ah is the sum of the individual battery capacities, the voltage remains the same. e.g. 4 x 12v / 100Ah batteries in parallel = 12v / 400Ah battery bank

- 12v FAB
Batteries in series connection:
The capacity remains the same for the bank as the individual battery, the voltage is cumulative. e.g. 4 x 12v /100Ah batteries in series = 48v /100Ah battery bank.

- 48v FAB
Batteries in series & parallel connection:
The capacity in Ah is the sum of the individual battery bank capacities.
e.g. each bank of 2 x 12v / 40Ah batteries in series = 24v / 40Ah
Total 3 x 24v / 40Ah battery banks in parallel = 24v / 120Ah battery bank

- 24v FAB
Each FAB unit can condition up to 1500 Ah of battery capacity as long as the batteries are side by side with short interconnecting cables. Adding further units in series will raise the conditioning capacity by 1500Ah each time. Contact us for specific installation instructions.
Multiple FAB installation on large battery banks
Below is a typical 72 volt battery bank using 12 x 6v batteries connected in series, in this case 2 x 36v FAB units connected in series are required to correctly condition the installation.
