The cost of doing nothing!

During operation cycles of lead-acid batteries, lead sulphur from the electrolyte combines with oxygen as the battery is discharged to form lead sulphate crystals which bond to the battery plates. This process is called sulphation. (see image) Over time the sulfate crystals expand, choking the plates, reducing efficiency to the point where the battery will no longer accept a charge or supply a load. Sulphation build-up on battery plates is a leading cause of battery failure, the insulating barrier  produced around the battery plates, prevents the electrochemical process from taking place.

 

 

Prevention is the the only cure!

The technology employed by the Megapulse FAB battery enhancer, reverses the sulphation process, this is done by infusing a carefully controlled pulse of energy back into the battery, these pulses of energy are fine tuned to and aimed directly at the Sulphate molecules coating the plates and hindering the electrochemical process. The result is that the lead sulphate is reversed back to its original state of lead sulphur and is returned back to active service in the electrolyte. The internal resistance of the battery is reduced improving charge times, load run times, overall capacity and service life.

 

FAB reduces Sludge formation

A sulphated battery remains in a chronically undercharged state, this keeps the lead oxide paste in the battery plate grid soft, road vibration and shock causes the soft paste to fall out as sludge more quickly, the build-up of sludge will eventually short out one or more battery cells

With Megapulse FAB installed, the battery accepts full charge and in turn the lead oxide paste on the battery plates stays firm, the effects of road vibration and shock in vehicles is therefore minimized.
